Sergon is prescribed for the treatment of ovarian hypofunction, stimulation of sexual hunting and poliovulation in female farm animals and bitches.

Composition
Lyophilizate:

Gonadotropinum sericum equinum 400 IU

Gonadotropinum chorionicum 200 IU

Mannitol, sodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate

Sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate

The product is a lyophilized mixture of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) and pregnant mares’ serum gonadotropin (PMSG). Acting similarly to the follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and the luteinizing hormone (LH), the serum gonadotropin induces the growth of ovarial follicles. The chorionic gonadotropin acts similarly to the luteinizing hormone and promotes ovulation and growth of the corpus luteus. Combination of the hormones induces a fertile oestrous cycle in pigs.
Indications Anestrus treatment, estrus induction, pregnancy synchronization in sows and primipara sows.
Dosage and method of administration For the purpose of both the single-dose and multi-dose packages, transfer the diluent contained in a vial into a vial containing the lyophilized substance using an injection syringe. Shake the content until diluted.
Apply one dose (2 ml) behind an ear intramuscularly or subcutaneously.

Induction of oestrus At 5.5 to 6.5 months of age or at a weight of 85 to 100 kg. Gilts can be inseminated during the first oestrus after administration. A more numerous farrow can be expected if the insemination was only performed during the second oestrus after administration

Note: The estrus onset occurs 3 – 6 days after the application.
Contraindications Diabetes. They were accompanied by vomiting. Pulmonary and heart diseases. Do not take Xylazine during the last three months of gestation unless combined with another stimulant medicine.
Warning
Preparation of the solution for the application purposes:

Dissolve the lyophilizate in a small volume of a diluent while shaking continuously; after the lyophilizate is completely dissolved, make it with the rest of the diluent.

After contact with textiles or leather, wash off immediately with water. The preparation must not come into contact with the eyes.

Storage conditions Store in original package. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children and animals. Store separately from food and animal feeding at +2 – 15°С.
