Dosage and method of administration |
- The drug is used orally. It is recommended to first bring the drug to a 10% concentration by adding 1 kg of Rodotium® 80% to 7 kg of feed, and then mix the amount of the drug (depending on the indicated dose) with the finished feed.
The use of feed containing the drug depends on the clinical condition of the animals. To obtain accurate dosing, the concentration of tiamulin should be calculated using the formula:
kg drug/t = (dosage (mg/kg) × average body weight (kg))/(average feed intake (kg) × drug concentration (mg/g))
To ensure correct dosing, body weight should be determined as accurately as possible to avoid lower than recommended doses.
