Indications | Mitrek® is used to cows for the treatment of subacute and chronic forms of endometritis of bacterial etiology, manifesting, as a rule, 14 days after calving, as well as in latent forms of endometritis. |
Dosage and method of administration | The drug is injected into the uterus cavity at a dose of 19g (one syringe). In order to treat subacute and chronic endometritis with Mitrek®, administer it no earlier than 14 days after calving. If necessary, repeat the treatment after 7-14 days with the same dose. Preliminary introduction of F2α prostaglandins 3-4 days before the drug administration significantly increases the effectiveness of treatment and eliminates the need for repeated use of the drug.
In order to treat latent endometritis, administer the drug 6-24 hours after insemination. Before the administration of the drug, sanitize the external genital organs and the tail root. If necessary, clear the uterine cavity from the inflammatory exudate. Connect the catheter to the syringe, put on the glove, and fix the cervix of the uterus rectally. Then, carefully insert the catheter into the uterine cavity through the cervix and administer the syringe contents in it. |
Contraindications | It is forbidden to use the drug for pregnant cows. |
