Indications |
For the local treatment of purulent wounds, infected, including mixed microflora (including staphylococci, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli), in the first phase of the wound process (purulent-necrotic). |
Dosage and method of administration | The drug is applied in a thin even layer on the entire affected skin surface 1-2 times a day until recovery, but not more than 10 days. The duration of treatment depends on the severity and course of the disease. To inject the ointment into the purulent cavities, gauze napkins are soaked with it and the wound is loosely filled with them, or, after preheating the ointment to 35-36 ° C, it is injected through a catheter (drainage tube) using a syringe. |
Contraindications | Individual hypersensitivity to chloramphenicol and methyluracil. The use of “Levomekol-vet” ointment excludes the use of other external preparations of a similar purpose. |
