Indications | Floron® 10% is used to treat swine with respiratory diseases of bacterial etiology: pleuropneumonia caused by Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae and / or Haemophilus parasuis. Floron® 10% is used for the treatment of colibacillosis, pasteurellosis, respiratory diseases of bacterial etiology in birds, incl. Caused by Ornitobacterium rhinotracheale, staphylococcosis and other infectious diseases. |
Dosage and method of administration | Floron® 10% is administered to pigs orally with drinking water in a daily dose of 5 mg florfenicol per 1 kg of live weight of the animal (corresponding to 5 ml of drug per 100 kg of animal weight) for 7 days.
Floron® 10% is used for poultry orally with drinking water in a daily dose of 20 mg florfenicol per 1 kg of animal weight, which corresponds to: Chickens under the age of 4 weeks – 100 ml of the drug per 100 liters of water; Other age categories of the poultry – 200 ml of the preparation per 100 l of water for 3 days, and for salmonellosis – for 5 days. During the treatment period, animals should receive only water containing the drug. In the case where this is not possible, the daily dose is divided into 2 equal parts and set at an interval of 12 hours. The active substance Florona® 10% can precipitate if the concentration of florfenicol in water exceeds 1 g per liter, which corresponds to 10 ml of Floron® 10% per 1 liter of water. |
Contraindications | Increased individual sensitivity to the drug components.
It is forbidden to use Floron® 10% for the treatment of sows during pregnancy and lactation, and also for boars-producers. |
Warning | It is forbidden to use Floron® 10% for laying hens in connection with the isolation of florfenicol with egg.
Slaughter of pigs is allowed no earlier than 6 days after the last application of Floron® 10%. Poultry slaughter is allowed no earlier than 2 days after the last application of Florona® 10%. The meat of animals that were forcedly killed before the expiration of this period can be used in fodder for fur animals or for the production of meat and bone meal. |
Release form | Floron® 10% is produced by 1000 ml in plastic bottles of appropriate capacity. Each package is supplied with instructions for use. |
Storage conditions | Store in original package. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children and animals. Store separately from food and animal feeding at +5-25°С. |
