Fenpraz tablets for cats

  • Fenpraz tablets are prescribed to cats from 3 weeks of age, for the prevention and treatment of nematodes, cestodes of the digestive tract, for giardiasis and for mixed invasions.

Composition
  • Fenpraz tablets for cats and kittens contains 1 tablet as active ingredients fenbenazole – 60 mg, pyrantel pamoate – 56 mg, praziquantel – 20 mg.
  • Fenpraz tablets for dogs of small breeds and puppies contains 1 tablet as active ingredients fenbenazole – 75 mg, pyrantel pamoate – 70 mg, praziquantel – 25 mg.
  • Fenpraz tablets for dogs of medium breeds and puppies contains 1 tablet as active ingredients fenbenazole – 120 mg, pyrantel pamoate – 112 mg, praziquantel – 40 mg.
  • Fenpraz tablets for dogs of large breeds and puppies contains 1 tablet as active ingredients fenbenazole – 225 mg, pyrantel pamoate – 210 mg, praziquantel – 75 mg.
Indications
  • Fenpraz tablets are prescribed for cats from 3 weeks of age, in the prevention and treatment of nematodes (toxocariasis, toxocharidosis, hookworm, hookworm, trichuriasis), cestodosis of the gastrointestinal tract (teniidosis, dipilidiosis, echinococcosis, diphyllobothriasis, mesocestoidosis), with giardiasis and mixed invasions .
Dosage and method of administration

Fenpraz tablets are given to the animal inside once, individually, in the morning with a small amount of food, or forcibly injected into the root of the tongue. For therapeutic purposes, animals are dewormed according to indications, for prophylactic purposes – quarterly in therapeutic doses indicated in the table:

In the treatment of giardiasis, Fenpraz tablets are prescribed once a day for 3 consecutive days. It is recommended to comply with the indicated doses and terms, so as not to reduce the effectiveness of the drug. No features were observed either at the first introduction, or at the exclusion of the drug.
In case of missed administration, therapy is carried out as early as possible in the same dose according to the same scheme.

Contraindications
  • Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug (including history).
  • Do not administer to animals that are debilitated, contagious, or covalently infected.
  • Young animals up to 3 weeks of age, pregnant females in the first semester of gestation and the first 2-3 weeks after calving are not reduced.
  • Do not use simultaneously with piperazine, levamisole and cholinesterase inhibitors, as this may increase each other’s toxicity.
Warning
  • The appointment of Fenpraz tablets to pregnant or lactating females is determined by a veterinarian, analyzing the risks and benefits.
  • Overdose can cause lethargy, loss of appetite, hypersalivation, diarrhea or vomiting. In such cases, symptomatic therapy is used.
Release form
  • Fenpraz tablets are packaged in 2, 6 or 10 pieces in blisters; 6 or 10 pieces in polymer bottles with a reliable screw cap.
Storage conditions Store the drug in the sealed packaging of the manufacturer, separately from food and feed, in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight, at a temperature of from 5 ° C to 25 ° C.
Shelf life 3 years.
