Composition
  • Cattlemaster 4 is a lyophilized preparation of chemically modified strains of IBR and PI3 viruses, as well as a live modified RSV virus, accompanied by a liquid containing inactive cytopathic and non-cytopathic strains of the BVD virus. The liquid component is used to rehydrate the lyophilized component. Viral fractions are cultured on a stabilized cell line. This product contains aluminum hydroxide as an adjuvant to enhance the immune response.
Indications
  • It is intended for vaccination of healthy cattle, including pregnant cows. In order to prevent infection with IBR, BVD, PI3 and RSV viruses – cattle.
Dosage and method of administration
  • 1. Under aseptic conditions, mix the lyophilized component with the liquid component and inject 2 ml intramuscularly.
    2. Primary vaccination: Two doses are recommended, given 2-4 weeks apart, one after the other. For active immunization, calves vaccinated before the age of 6 months must be revaccinated when they reach this age.
    3. Revaccination: recommended annually, once a vaccination.
Contraindications
  • Only healthy animals are subject to vaccination.
Warning
  • No side effects were observed in safety studies of the product fractions, and pregnant cows produced normal and healthy calves. However, field data have shown that hypersensitivity reactions can occasionally occur up to 6 hours after vaccination. Pet owners should be warned that animals must be supervised during this period. When such reactions occur, they are rare and affect more lactating heifers than other categories of cattle.
    Animals affected by such reactions may experience excessive salivation, gait strain and/or shortness of breath. Animals with such reactions should be treated immediately with epinephrine or other equivalent drug. In animals that do not respond well to this treatment, other treatments will be considered.
