|Indications||Lactic acid is a product of anaerobic breakdown of carbohydrates.
When administered orally, a 2-3% aqueous solution has antiseptic, anti-fermentative, antispasmodic properties, and promotes better evacuation of the chyme through the digestive canal. For external use, it has a disinfectant (1-2% aqueous solution of lactic acid), keratolytic (10% aqueous solution of lactic acid) and cauterizing (30-40% aqueous solution of lactic acid) action.
|Dosage and method of administration||Apply externally as a 10-40% aqueous solution of lactic acid for skin ulcers and mucous membranes; for cauterization of keratinized stratifications, neoplasms, warts, corns. In case of cow disease, trichomoniasis in complex therapy makes vaginal douching with a 1% aqueous solution of lactic acid.
When administered orally, it has antiseptic, anti-fermentative effects, relieves convulsions of the sphincters of the stomach, and promotes the movement of feed masses into the intestines.

Dosage for oral administration:
Externally the drug is used in the form of aqueous solutions of lactic acid:
10-40% – with ulcers of the skin and mucous membranes;
20-25% – for cauterization of keratinized stratifications, neoplasms;
10-30% – for cauterizing warts, calluses;
10% – as a keratolytic agent.
|Contraindications||Do not use for acidosis.|
