Indications | For prophylactic immunization of repair pigs and sows before farrow in order to create colostral immunity in newborn piglets.
Vaccine for the prevention of pig diseases. Litergard LT-C induces the production of specific immunity in sows that transmit colostral antibodies to piglets, providing passive protection at an early age. Immunity in pigs is created 10-15 days after the second vaccination and lasts at least 6 months. The vaccine is harmless and areactogenic. |
Dosage and method of administration | Before use, the vial with the drug is shaken until a homogeneous suspension is formed. After opening the vials, the vaccine should be used within 4-6 hours.
Only healthy animals are vaccinated. Primary vaccination: healthy pregnant sows are given 2 doses of the vaccine with an interval of 3 weeks, so that the second dose is administered no later than two weeks before farrowing. The vaccine is administered to animals in / m or s / c at a dose of 2 ml, subject to the rules of asepsis and antiseptics. Revaccination: pregnant pigs should be revaccinated with a single dose of the vaccine no later than 2 weeks before farrowing. Considering that piglets receive antibodies with colostrum, it is necessary to ensure that each piglet receives the necessary amount of colostrum after birth. |
