Maropital

Composition

1 ml contains:
- Active substance:  
  - Maropitant (as maropitant citrate monohydrate) – 10 mg  

- Excipients:  
  - Sodium sulfobutyl ether β-cyclodextrin  
  - Metacresol  
  - Water for injections

Indications

Maropital is indicated for the prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting in dogs and cats.

Dosage and method of administration

- Maropital is administered intravenously or subcutaneously:  
  - Dose: 1 mg/kg or 1 ml/10 kg body weight;  
  - Frequency: Once a day;  
  - Duration: Maximum 5 days.  

Recommendations for correct administration  
- Adhere to the administration schedule and doses to avoid reducing the product's effectiveness.  
- If a dose is missed, resume administration as soon as possible according to the schedule in the leaflet.  
- Do not use Maropital if visible signs of product deterioration are observed.

Contraindications

- Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the medication.  

- Do not administer to:  
  - Female puppies under 8 weeks of age;  
  - Male kittens under 16 weeks of age.  
- In pregnant or lactating females, administer only under veterinary supervision after evaluating the risk-benefit ratio.

Release form

- Dark glass vials: 5 ml, 10 ml, and 50 ml, with rubber stoppers and aluminum caps.  
*Not all packaging sizes may be marketed.

Storage conditions Store in a dark place, separate from food and feed, at T°C 5°C + 25°C, in places inaccessible to children.
Shelf life

Indicated on the packaging.
Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
