Neporex

General Description
NEPOREX is a larvicide with specific and unique properties, developed for the control of fly larvae in manure and other fly breeding areas. It is an important component of any integrated fly control program and can be used simultaneously or alternately with adulticides.

Composition and Mode of Action
- Active Substance: Cyromazine, an insect growth regulator.
- Action: It has specific selectivity for dipteran (fly) larvae, with no effect on other arthropods. Cyromazine acts in a unique way among insecticides and larvicides, showing no cross-resistance. It is effective against all known fly species, and its intensive use for over two decades has not led to the development of resistance in fly populations.
- Limitation: It has no direct effect on adult flies. In the absence of specific treatment against adults, a visible reduction in the adult fly population may be observed after 1-2 weeks, depending on the treatment schedule.

Safety and Environmental Impact
- NEPOREX has a favorable safety profile, allowing the treatment of stables and shelters in the presence of animals.
- Manure treated with NEPOREX can be used as fertilizer without posing a risk to the environment.

Presentation Form
- Available as soluble granules with a 2% active substance concentration (cyromazine).

NEPOREX can be applied by:
- Scattering
- Spraying
- Watering

Usage Tips
- Identify fly breeding areas before applying the treatment.
- All identified breeding areas must be treated simultaneously.
- Outdoor manure piles and lagoons are significant breeding zones and must be treated appropriately.

Application Techniques
- Scattering:
  - Apply NEPOREX directly and evenly to breeding areas.
  - Use this method only for wet or liquid manure.

- Spraying:
  - Thoroughly mix the required amount of NEPOREX with the appropriate volume of water.
  - Apply to breeding areas using a handheld sprayer or automated spraying equipment.

- Watering:
  - Thoroughly mix the required amount of NEPOREX with the appropriate volume of water.
  - Apply evenly to breeding areas using a watering can.

Important
- NEPOREX is applied exclusively to fly breeding areas.
- Do not apply to surfaces that adult flies come into contact with (walls, ceilings, etc.), as it has no effect on adult flies.

Treatment Interval
- The recommended interval varies depending on management and administrative systems, as well as climatic conditions, ranging from 2-3 weeks to several months.
