Emdocam 20 mg/ml

Species Cattle, swine, horses.
Composition

Each ml contains:

- Active substance: Meloxicam 20 mg  
- Excipients: Ethanol (96%) 150 mg

Indications

Cattle:  
- Indicated for use in acute respiratory infection, in combination with appropriate antibiotic treatment, to reduce clinical symptoms.  
- Indicated for use in diarrhea, in combination with oral rehydration treatment, to reduce clinical symptoms in calves older than one week and in non-lactating young cattle.  
- Indicated as adjunctive medication in the treatment of acute mastitis, in combination with antibiotic therapy.  
- For alleviating post-operative pain following dehorning in calves.

Pigs:  
- Indicated for use in non-infectious locomotor disorders, to reduce symptoms of lameness and inflammation.  
- Indicated as adjunctive medication in the treatment of septicemia and puerperal toxemia (mastitis-metritis-agalactia syndrome), in combination with appropriate antibiotic therapy.

Dosage and method of administration

Cattle:  
Single subcutaneous or intravenous administration at a dose of 0.5 mg meloxicam/kg body weight (e.g., 2.5 ml/100 kg body weight), in combination with appropriate antibiotic treatment or oral rehydration therapy, as needed.

Pigs:  
Single intramuscular administration at a dose of 0.4 mg meloxicam/kg body weight (e.g., 2.0 ml/100 kg body weight), in combination with appropriate antibiotic treatment, as needed. If necessary, a second dose of meloxicam can be administered after 24 hours.

Horses:  
Single intravenous injection at a dose of 0.6 mg meloxicam/kg body weight (e.g., 2 ml/100 kg body weight). Used for alleviating inflammation and pain in acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders; appropriate oral therapy containing meloxicam, administered according to label recommendations, can be used for continuing treatment.

Avoid contamination during administration. Do not open the vial more than 50 times.

Contraindications Do not use in equines under 6 weeks of age.  
Do not use in pregnant or lactating mares.  
Do not use in animals with liver, heart, or kidney conditions, or bleeding disorders, as well as in cases where there is evidence of ulcerative gastrointestinal lesions.  
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients.  
For the treatment of diarrhea in bovines, do not use in animals under one week of age.
Waiting period

Cattle: Meat and organs: 15 days. Milk: 5 days  
Pigs: Meat and organs: 5 days 
Horses: Meat and organs: 5 days

Release form Packaging size: 1 bottle made of colorless Type I glass, containing 50 ml, 100 ml, or 250 ml. Each bottle is sealed with a bromobutyl rubber stopper and an aluminum cap.  
*Not all packaging sizes may be commercially available.
Storage conditions Store in a dark place, separate from food and feed, at T°C 5°C + 25°C, in places inaccessible to children.
Shelf life

3 years from the date of production, from the first opening – 3 months.

Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
