| Dosage and method of administration |
To ensure correct dosing, a suitable dosing device (pump) for administration is provided. Halocen is administered orally, after feeding, using the dosing pump, once a day at a dose of 4 ml/20 kg body weight (one press on the pump trigger), which corresponds to 0.1 mg of halofuginone/kg body weight. Recommendations for correct administration: 1. Screw the dosing pump onto the bottle. It can also be administered individually, mixed with colostrum or milk (or milk replacer). - Prophylactic use: Halocen should be administered to newborn calves within the first 24-48 hours of life, once a day for 7 days. |
| Contraindications | Not to be used in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients. Do not administer on an empty stomach. Do not administer in cases of diarrhea caused by *Cryptosporidium parvum* that has been present for more than 24 hours or in weakened animals. |
