Composition

Active substance:  
- Inactivated recombinant chimeric porcine circovirus type 1 containing protein 1.5 - 4.9 PR* (open reading frame 2 - ORF2) of porcine circovirus type 2a.  
- Inactivated recombinant chimeric porcine circovirus type 1 containing protein 1.5 - 5.9 PR* (ORF2) of porcine circovirus type 2b.  

Adjuvant:  
MetaStim, composed of:  
- Squalane: 0.4% (v/v)  
- Poloxamer 401: 0.2% (v/v)  
- Polysorbate 80: 0.032% (v/v)  

*The relative potency unit is determined by antigenic quantification using ELISA (in vitro potency test) compared to a reference vaccine.

Indications

Therapeutic indications for CircoMax:

Active immunization of pigs against porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) for:
- Reducing viral load in the blood and lymphoid tissues.
- Reducing virus excretion in feces.
- Preventing lesions in the lymphoid tissues associated with PCV2 infection.

Protection spectrum:
Provides protection against porcine circovirus types 2a, 2b, and 2d.

Onset of immunity:
3 weeks after the last vaccination (valid for both vaccination schemes).

Duration of immunity:
23 weeks after the last vaccination (valid for both vaccination schemes).

Dosage and method of administration

- Method of administration:  
Intramuscular, in the neck, behind the ear.

- Single-dose vaccination scheme:  
- A 2 ml dose for pigs from 3 weeks of age.

- Split-dose vaccination scheme:  
- Two injections of 1 ml each.  
- First dose: from 3 days of age.  
- Second dose: at an interval of approximately 3 weeks.

- Choice of dosing regime:  
- Depends on the farm circumstances.  
- For farms with moderate to high levels of maternally derived antibodies against PCV2, the following are recommended:  
  - Split-dose scheme or  
  - Delaying the vaccination age.

- Additional information:  
- Shake well before use and periodically during vaccination.  
- A multi-dose syringe is recommended.  
- Follow the manufacturer's instructions for vaccination devices.  
- Administer the vaccine under aseptic conditions.

During storage, a slight black sediment may appear and the emulsion may separate into two distinct phases. After shaking, the black sediment disappears and the emulsion becomes homogeneous again.

High-density polyethylene bottles, 50 ml, 100 ml, and 250 ml, with chlorobutyl elastomer stoppers, sealed with aluminum caps.
Carton boxes containing 1 bottle of 50 ml, 100 ml, or 250 ml.
Carton boxes containing 10 bottles of 50 ml or 100 ml.
Carton boxes containing 4 bottles of 250 ml.

*Not all packaging sizes may be commercially available.

Storage conditions Store in a dark place, separate from food and feed, at T°C 2°C + 8°C, in places inaccessible to children.
Shelf life

18 months from the date of production, from the first opening – use immediately.

Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
