Species Cattle.
Composition

Active substances:  
Bovine herpesvirus BHV-1 (bovine herpesvirus type 1)  
Strain GK/D (gE−): at least 5.7 log₁₀ TCID₅₀  

Diluent (Unisolve):  
- Sucrose  
- Potassium dihydrogen phosphate  
- Disodium phosphate dihydrate  
- Sodium chloride  
- Water for injections

Indications

Active immunization of cattle to reduce the severity and duration of respiratory clinical signs caused by BHV-1 infection and to reduce nasal shedding of the wild-type virus.

Specific information: There is no data regarding the efficacy of the vaccine in preventing latent infections with the wild-type virus or preventing re-shedding of the wild-type virus by latent carriers.

Dosage and method of administration

Dosage: 2 ml
The vaccine should be reconstituted with the Unisolve diluent.

Dosage: A single dose of 2 ml reconstituted vaccine per animal  

- From 3 months of age: intranasal or intramuscular.  
- Between 2 weeks and 3 months of age: intranasal.  

For intranasal administration (1 ml in each nostril), it is recommended to use a pipette.

Vaccination schedule:  
- Primary vaccination: Each animal should receive a single vaccine dose.  
- Revaccination:
  - If the first vaccination was administered between 2 weeks and 3 months of age, animals must be revaccinated with a single dose at 3-4 months of age. Subsequent revaccinations should be performed every 6 months.  
  - If animals are vaccinated for the first time after 3 months of age, they should be revaccinated with a single dose every 6 months.  
  - All further revaccinations must be carried out at intervals not exceeding 12 months.  

Use sterile vaccination equipment free from disinfectant residues. To prevent the spread of infectious agents, the intranasal instrument must be replaced after each animal.  

For revaccination, Bovilis IBR vaccine can be reconstituted with Bovilis BVD vaccine for cattle over 15 months, following the instructions:  

Bovilis IBR marker live + Bovilis BVD  
- 5 doses + 10 ml  
- 10 doses + 20 ml  
- 25 doses + 50 ml  
- 50 doses + 100 ml  

Administer a single intramuscular dose (2 ml) of Bovilis IBR marker live mixed with Bovilis BVD.

Contraindications

Do not vaccinate sick animals.

Lyophilized vaccine:  
Carton box containing 1 or 10 glass vials (hydrolytic Type I) with a rubber stopper and metal cap.  
Content per vial: 1, 2, 5, 10, 25, 50, or 100 doses of vaccine.  

Diluent (Unisolve):  
Carton box containing 1 or 10 glass vials (hydrolytic Type II) or plastic vials (polyethylene terephthalate) with a rubber stopper and metal cap.  
Content per vial:  
- Glass vials: 2, 4, 10, or 20 ml.  
- PET: 50, 100, or 200 ml.  

*Not all packaging sizes may be marketed.

Storage conditions The lyophilized vaccine should be stored at 2°C–8°C.  
The diluent should be stored at temperatures below 25°C.  
The vaccine after reconstitution should be stored at temperatures below 25°C.  
Keep away from light.  
Do not freeze.  
Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the label.  
Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
Shelf life

Lyophilized vaccine: 36 months  
Diluent in glass vial: 60 months  
Diluent in PET vial: 24 months  
Stability after reconstitution: should be administered within 3 hours.
