Dosage and method of administration

In cases of wounds, dermatitis, burns, eczema, postoperative care of surgical sutures, and antiseptic treatment of the skin before catheterization or procedures, the veterinary medicine Hexiderm is applied to the cleaned and dried surfaces or affected mucous membranes and the adjacent healthy tissue (1 cm). The gel is applied in a thin layer, gently rubbing from the periphery toward the center. If necessary, the treated area should be trimmed or shaved beforehand.

Measures should be taken to prevent the animal from licking the medication for 15-20 minutes after application. Hexiderm is applied twice a day, for 10-14 days. The treatment duration is determined individually, depending on the specific condition and severity of the disease.

In dental conditions, the medication is applied in a thin layer to the inflamed mucous membranes of the oral cavity twice a day for 10-14 days.

For otitis treatment, first clean the ear pinnae and ear canal of wax and debris with a swab soaked in Hexiderm, then apply a small amount of gel into each ear. The treatment is performed twice a day for 7-10 days. For preventive use, apply only once.

In the case of balanitis, balanoposthitis, vulvitis, and vaginitis, Hexiderm should be used after hygienic and antiseptic treatment of the skin and mucous membranes. For balanitis and balanoposthitis, apply externally in a thin layer twice a day for 7-10 days; for vulvitis and vaginitis, apply externally or intravaginally twice a day for 10-14 days.

In large animals, the medicine can be applied via swabs soaked in Hexiderm. Apply the product to the swab and insert it into the vagina for 15-30 minutes. Do not use in sexually excited animals.

If necessary, the treatment course can be repeated after 20 days.

Regardless of the condition, if after 4-5 days of treatment with Hexiderm there is no positive progress, the diagnosis should be reassessed, or the medication should be discontinued.
