PG 600
| Species | Swine (sows and gilts). |
|---|---|
| Composition | Each reconstituted 5 ml dose contains: - Chorionic gonadotropin: 200 IU. - Serum gonadotropin: 400 IU. |
| Indications | - Induction and synchronization of puberty in gilts. - Induction and synchronization of the first ovulation after weaning (administered between days 0 and 2 post-weaning). - Treatment of anestrus after weaning (administered on days 11-12 post-weaning). |
| Dosage and method of administration |
A single dose (5 ml reconstituted product) should be injected aseptically subcutaneously or, preferably, intramuscularly at the base of the ear using a 1.5" needle, which should be directed horizontally. Gilt administration: For gilts older than 5 months, a single dose of the product will normally result in a fertile estrus within 5 days. Sows after weaning: To achieve an early postpartum estrus (especially when early weaning is practiced), a single injection should be administered 48 hours after weaning. Sterile sows: Cases of subestrus or anestrus caused by hormonal imbalance may respond positively to a single dose of the product, with normal heat appearing within 5 days after injection. If a corpus luteum is present on the ovaries at the time of product administration, sows or gilts will not respond to treatment. Therefore, if a sow or gilt in anestrus does not respond to treatment, a waiting period of 10 days should be observed before repeating the treatment. Reconstitution: |
