| Indications | The medicine is indicated for dogs and cats to achieve sedative, analgesic, and muscle relaxant effects during clinical and diagnostic investigations, to ensure immobilization, to prevent animal aggression, and for premedication in surgical procedures, in combination with neuroleptic analgesia. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Dosage and method of administration |
Meditin is administered intravenously, intramuscularly, or subcutaneously. In case of the need for repeated administration, it can be given at intervals of 10-15 minutes from the first dose. To achieve the sedative and analgesic effect, Meditin 0.1% is used at the following doses: Dogs: 0.1-0.8 ml/10 kg body weight Cats: 0.01-0.15 ml/kg body weight Recommended doses of Meditin for the desired effect:
The doses vary based on the desired effect, individual characteristics, and breed of the animal. For animals with low body weight, the dosage per kg is higher than for larger animals to achieve the same effect. It is recommended not to feed animals for 12 hours before administering Meditin. During administration and until full recovery, the animal should be kept in a warm place. |

| Contraindications | The preparation is contraindicated in animals with heightened sensitivity to its components, chronic cardiovascular diseases, respiratory diseases, liver and kidney dysfunctions, gastrointestinal disturbances (esophageal obstruction, intestinal occlusion, gastric torsion), diabetes mellitus, and intraocular hypertension. The preparation should not be administered to cachectic, weakened animals, or those in a state of shock. It should not be given to productive animals. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
