| Dosage and method of administration |
Dosage for administration in drinking water: Administration instructions: For accurate dosing, the body weight of the animals should be determined as precisely as possible to avoid underdosing. Water intake varies based on the physiological and clinical condition of the animals, so the lincomycin concentration must be adjusted accordingly. Frequent monitoring of water consumption is essential, and the medicated water should be the sole source of drinking water throughout the treatment duration. After treatment completion, the water system should be cleaned to prevent ingestion of sub-therapeutic doses of lincomycin. |
| Contraindications | - Do not use in cases of known hypersensitivity to the active substance or excipients. - Do not administer and do not allow access to water with lincomycin for rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, chinchillas, horses, or ruminants to prevent severe gastrointestinal disorders. - Do not use in cases of known resistance to lincosamides. - Contraindicated in cases of liver dysfunction. |
| Waiting period | - Pigs: meat and organs – 1 day. - Birds: meat and organs – 5 days. Restrictions: Not to be administered to laying hens for the production of eggs intended for human consumption. |
