Composition

As the active substance, 1 tablet contains the following:

- For cats and small dogs: Ademetionine 1,4-butandsulfonate – 66.5 mg (equivalent to 35 mg of ademetionine), sodium glycyrrhizinate – 1 mg, with the following excipients: corn starch, calcium stearate, lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, and flavoring agent.

- For medium and large dogs: Ademetionine 1,4-butandsulfonate – 199.5 mg (equivalent to 105 mg of ademetionine), sodium glycyrrhizinate – 3 mg, with the following excipients: corn starch, calcium stearate, lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, and flavoring agent.

Indications

Heptrolux is indicated in the treatment of liver diseases, bile, and the biliary tract in animals. The medication is recommended for dogs and cats in the treatment of intrahepatic cholestasis, which may occur under the following conditions:

- Hepatic steatosis (fatty liver)  
- Chronic hepatitis  
- Toxic liver disorders of various etiologies, including viral, hemoparasitic, and drug-induced (following the administration of antibacterial, antiviral, or anticancer medications)  
- Chronic acalculous cholecystitis  
- Cholangitis  
- Cirrhosis  
- Encephalopathies (including those associated with liver failure)

Heptrolux tablets are also indicated in the treatment of cognitive dysfunction syndrome in pets and during the recovery period after severe diseases, surgical interventions, or intoxications, to enhance the body's resistance.

Dosage and method of administration

Heptrolux tablets are administered orally to animals, individually, on an empty stomach, immediately after being removed from the blister, in the doses indicated in the table.

For cats and small dogs, 1 tablet per 5 kg body weight. For medium and large dogs, 1 tablet per 15 kg body weight.

For animals weighing more than 60 kg, Heptrolux for medium and large dogs should be administered at 1 tablet for every 15 kg of body weight. The treatment course is 14-30 days, depending on the individual characteristics of the animal and the progression of the disease. If necessary, as per the veterinarian's recommendation, the administration may be resumed after 10 days. Chronic pathologies may require several treatment courses throughout the year.

For older animals, a lower dosage than recommended is advised, considering the reduction in liver, kidney, and heart function, as well as age-related diseases. It is recommended to adhere to the prescribed doses and timelines to avoid any adverse effects.

Contraindications Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the preparation (including in the medical history).

Storage conditions Store in a dark place, separate from food and feed, at T°C 5°C + 25°C, in places inaccessible to children.
Shelf life

3 years from the date of production.
