Composition
Lyophilized component:
- Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis virus (IBR), live attenuated virus, strain RLB106ts**, > 105.7 DICC50*
- Parainfluenza virus 3 (PI3), live attenuated virus, strain RLB103 ts**, > 105.0 DICC50*
- Bovine Respiratory Syncytial Virus (BRSV), live attenuated virus, strain 375, > 104.1 DICC50*
*DICC50: infectious dose of 50% of cell cultures
**ts: thermosensitive
Liquid component:
- Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus (BVDV), inactivated virus, strain 5960 (cytopathic) and strain 6309 (non-cytopathic), > 2.0 log2 serum neutralizing antibody titer***
***Geometric mean titer of neutralizing antibodies capable of inducing seroconversion in 4 out of 5 calves.

Indications
CattleMaster 4 is intended for vaccination of healthy cattle, including pregnant cows, to prevent:
Infectious bovine rhinotracheitis caused by infectious rhinotracheitis virus (IBR)
Bovine viral diarrhea caused by viral diarrhea virus (BVD)
Diseases caused by the parainfluenza virus (PI3)
Bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV)
Passive immunity was not demonstrated in calves from dams vaccinated for any of the antigenic fractions.

Dosage and method of administration
A dose.
Reconstitution of the vaccine:
- When the lyophilized component and the liquid component are in vials of equal size: Inject the entire liquid component into the vial with the lyophilized component.
- When the lyophilized component is in a vial smaller than the vial of the liquid component:
1. Inject 10 ml of the liquid component into the vial with the lyophilized component.
2. Shake well and withdraw the reconstituted lyophilized component from the lyophilized component vial and mix with the remaining liquid in the liquid component vial.
General indications:
- It is recommended to vaccinate healthy cattle, including pregnant cows.
- Aseptically rehydrate the lyophilized fraction with the liquid component provided.
- Shake well and administer 2 ml intramuscularly, in the neck region.
Primary vaccination:
- Healthy cattle should be vaccinated with two doses administered at an interval of 2-4 weeks.
- To avoid interference between vaccine and maternal antibodies, calves vaccinated before 6 months of age must be revaccinated at least 3 weeks after the second administration and always after 6 months of age with a third dose.
Revaccination:
- Annual revaccination with a single dose is recommended.
Recommendations:
- Use sterile syringes and needles for administration.
- Do not use chemically sterilized syringes or needles, as traces of disinfectant can inactivate the vaccine.
- Shake well before use.
|
Contraindications
CattleMaster 4 is effective when administered to healthy animals. The protective immune response may not be elicited if the animals:
- Presents a subclinical BVD virus infection
- He is in the incubation period of an infectious disease
- They are malnourished or parasitic
- They are stressed due to transport or environmental conditions
- They are immunocompromised due to other causes
The effectiveness of the vaccine may also be affected if it is not administered as directed in the package insert.
