Indications

Nobilis AE+POX is a live lyophilized vaccine intended for the active immunization of chickens and turkeys against infection with infectious encephalomyelitis virus and avian diphtherovariola, to prevent mortality, clinical signs and lesions specific to these diseases in vaccinated birds. Vaccinated birds are protected against reduced egg production caused by infection with infectious encephalomyelitis virus during the laying period. Progeny of vaccinated birds are protected against infectious encephalomyelitis in the first weeks of life due to maternally transmitted immunity.

- Installation of immunity occurs after 2 weeks.
- The duration of immunity is for the entire laying period

Dosage and method of administration
  • Chickens should be vaccinated between 8 and 16 weeks of age.
  • Turkeys should be vaccinated between 18 and 26 weeks of age.

One dose per bird, using the stick method (vaccination device with two intradermal inoculation needles).

One vial of vaccine (1000 doses) should be reconstituted with one vial (10 mL) of Unisolve diluent prior to use. The applicator should be dipped in the vaccine and then inoculated intradermally into the underwing fold. The feathers on the inner side of the wing must be removed. About 7-10 days after vaccination, a few birds should be examined for "trial" vaccination. A satisfactory trial vaccination is indicated by swelling and crusting at the vaccination site. The scabs generally come off 2-3 weeks after vaccination.

Contraindications Do not vaccinate birds 4 weeks before the laying period or during the laying period.
