| Indications |
Bars Insecto-Acaricidal Collar is used in dogs and cats for the treatment and prevention of arachnoentomoses caused by fleas, mallophaga and hematophaga lice, as well as ixodid ticks. |
| Dosage and method of administration |
After opening the packaging, the collar is placed around the animal’s neck, adjusting the circumference to leave a gap of 1–1.5 cm between the collar and the neck. The free end is passed through the buckle, and any excess is trimmed off. Continuous use of the Bars insecto-acaricidal collar protects the animal against insects and ixodid ticks for 4 months. At the end of this period, the collar must be replaced with a new one. In the first few days after application, temporary attachment of ticks may occur, but they naturally detach within 1–2 days. It is recommended to apply the Bars collar before potential exposure to parasites. Additional recommendations: The Bars insecto-acaricidal collar must be worn throughout the active parasite season. Failure to follow the usage regimen may reduce its antiparasitic effect. |
