Composition (per 1 g): Adjuvants. |
| Indications |
Cattle – treatment of thelaziosis. |
| Dosage and method of administration |
In the treatment of thelaziosis in cattle, the animal’s head is fixed so that the eye is directed upward, and 0.8–1.0 ml of gel is applied into the conjunctival sac using a syringe with an extension, followed by gentle massaging. Administration is performed for 3–4 days. In case of eyelid inflammation, the edges are cleaned of crusts, and the gel is applied with a swab. For otitis, hair and crusts are removed from the ear pavilion, and Oftalmo-gel is applied 1–2 times a day. Treatment is carried out for 5–7 days until recovery. Both ears are treated simultaneously. If the otitis is of parasitic origin, the application is repeated after 8–10 days. To prevent wohlfahrtiosis, a layer of Oftalmo-gel is applied to fresh wounds during the warm season. Wounds infested with fly larvae are treated twice a day until healing (3–4 days). |
