Indications

BARS Classic Flea and Tick Drops are indicated for dogs and cats for the treatment and prevention of entomoses (fleas, mallophaga and hematophaga lice), sarcoptic mange, notoedric mange, otodectic mange, cheyletiellosis, and infestation with ixodid ticks.

Dosage and method of administration

BARS Classic against fleas and ticks is applied once by dripping, parting the fur, onto dry, intact skin at several points on the scruff of the neck and at the base of the skull (in areas where the animal cannot lick).
Depending on the species and body weight of the animal, the appropriate package volume or combination thereof is selected and applied in the recommended doses from the table.

For the treatment of dogs with a body weight exceeding 20 kg, the medicinal product is administered at a rate of 1.4 ml per 10 kg of body weight.
To eliminate ixodid ticks from the animal’s body surface, 1 drop of the medicinal product is applied directly onto the tick and its attachment site on the skin. If the tick does not detach within 20–30 minutes, it is carefully removed with tweezers and destroyed.
In the treatment of otodectosis, the ear pavilion and auditory canal are first cleaned of exudate, earwax, and crusts. Then, 4–6 drops of the medicinal product are instilled into each ear. To ensure even distribution, the ear pavilion is thoroughly massaged at its base. The remaining product from the pipette is applied to the skin on the scruff of the neck. In cases of chronic otodectosis associated with otitis, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory remedies are used, and ear treatments with BARS Classic are repeated every 7–10 days.
The medicinal product is instilled into both ears, even if only one ear is affected by otodectosis.
After applying the product to the ears, the dog’s head should be held steady for a few minutes to prevent shaking and dispersal of the medicinal product.

Recommendations for proper administration
Treatment should be repeated as indicated, but not more frequently than once per month.
