Novocaine solution 0.5%

Species Cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs and cats.
Composition

Active substance:
Procaine hydrochloride - 20 mg

List of excipients:
Hydrochloric acid up to pH = 3.80 - 4.50
Purified water up to 1 ml.

Indications - Infiltration anesthesia in equines, cattle, swine, sheeps, dogs, and cats.
- Conduction anesthesia in dogs and cats.
- Epidural anesthesia in bovines, ovines, swine, and dogs.
Dosage and method of administration

For local infiltration anesthesia, inject Novocaine 0.5% inj. solution in anatomical layers in large animals. For nerve pathway anesthesia, inject the solution as close as possible to the nerve that innervates the area.
For epidural anesthesia, use 5-10 ml of Novocaine 0.5% inj. solution for interventions on standing animals, or 10-20 ml for animals that need to lie down.
Systemically, especially for treating colic or warts in large animals, slowly administer 100-300 ml of Novocaine 0.5% inj. solution intravenously.
Since cats are very sensitive, Novocaine 0.5% inj. solution can be injected, but with great caution.

Contraindications - Shock states.
- Animals with cardiovascular diseases.
- Animals under treatment with sulfonamides.
- Animals treated with phenothiazines (see drug interactions).
- Tissue alteration at the application site.
- Hypersensitivity to the active substance or any excipient.
- Hypersensitivity to local anesthetics from the ester family or in case of possible cross-reactive allergic reactions with p-aminobenzoic acid derivatives and sulfonamides.
Waiting period For meat and milk animals: 1 day from the last administration.
Release form 100 ml bottles, packaged in groups in a cardboard box, accompanied by a user leaflet.
Storage conditions Store in a dark place, separate from food and feed, at T°C 15°C + 25°C, in places inaccessible to children.
Shelf life

2 years from the date of production, from the first opening – 10 days.

Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
