Composition

1 ml contains:  
Active substance:  
- Atipamezole hydrochloride – 5 mg  

Excipients
- Sodium chloride  
- Benzyl alcohol  
- Water for injections

Indications

Antimedin is indicated for dogs and cats to reverse the sedative and analgesic effects of medications from the alpha-2 agonist group (medetomidine, dexmedetomidine), as well as the secondary effects on the cardiovascular and respiratory systems of the body.

Dosage and method of administration

Antimedin is administered 15–60 minutes after the use of medications from the alpha-2 agonist group.

Typically, the sedative effects of medetomidine and dexmedetomidine are neutralized within 5–10 minutes after the administration of Antimedin.

In case of persistent depressive state, repeated administration of Antimedin is possible at intervals of 10–15 minutes.

Antimedin is administered intramuscularly as a single dose (ml/animal):

Dogs – in a dose equal to the initially administered dose of medetomidine/dexmedetomidine;
Cats – in a dose equal to half of the initially administered dose of medetomidine/dexmedetomidine.

Contraindications

Individual hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients of the medicinal product.
Do not administer in cases of cardiac insufficiency, liver, or kidney dysfunction.
Antimedin is not used to reverse the sedative effects of medications from other pharmacological groups.
Do not administer to productive animals.

Release form

Glass vial with a rubber stopper and aluminum cap, available in the following volumes: 20 ml, 50 ml, 100 ml.

Storage conditions Store in a dark place, separate from food and feed, at T°C 5°C + 25°C, in places inaccessible to children.
Shelf life

3 years from the date of production, from the first opening – 30 days.

Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
