Trisulfon

Species Cattle, lamb, goat, swine, rabnit, poultry.
Composition

Active substances:  
- Sulfamonomethoxine (as sodium salt) – 40 mg  
- Trimethoprim – 20 mg  

Excipients:  
- Lactose monohydrate

Indications

Calves, goat kids, lambs: In cases of colibacillosis, salmonellosis, pasteurellosis, bronchopneumonia, abscesses caused by staphylococci, polyarthritis caused by streptococci;  
- Pigs: In cases of colibacillosis, atrophic rhinitis, salmonellosis, pasteurellosis, pleuropneumonia caused by Haemophilus spp.;  
- Poultry: In cases of pasteurellosis, colibacillosis, salmonellosis, staphylococcosis;  
- Rabbits: In cases of pasteurellosis, staphylococcosis, colibacillosis, salmonellosis.

Dosage and method of administration

The daily therapeutic dose for all domestic animal species is 10 g per 40 kg of body weight.
The medication is administered once daily, mixed in drinking water or feed, for 5 consecutive days.

Specific Dosages:

Poultry:

For coccidiosis: 800 g of Trisulfon per 100 liters of water, administered for 3-5 days.

For other infections: 200 g per 100 liters of water, administered daily.

Rabbits: 8 g per 1 liter of drinking water.

Contraindications

- Hypersensitivity to the components of the medication.  
- The use of Trisulfon is prohibited in:  
  - Adult ruminants with developed forestomach digestion.  
  - Animals with renal or hepatic dysfunction.  
  - Laying hens whose eggs are intended for human consumption.

Waiting period Meat and other edible tissues can be consumed 10 days after the last administration of the medication.
Release form Trisulfon is available in 1 kg packages in hermetically sealed laminated foil bags.
Storage conditions Store in a dark place, separate from food and feed, at a temperature between +5°C and +25°C, in locations inaccessible to children.
Shelf life

3 years from the date of manufacture.

Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the packaging.
