| Indications | It is indicated for the treatment of septicemias, phlegmons, emphysematous anthrax, and streptococcosis in cattle; in cases of actinomycosis, pneumonia, streptococcosis, and staphylococcosis, stomatitis, and infectious rhinitis, as well as Carre's disease; swine erysipelas and avian spirochetosis, bronchopneumonias, infected wounds, and urinary tract infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to penicillin. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Dosage and method of administration |
Penicillin solutions are prepared with distilled water, with a 0.5% novocaine solution (which prolongs the action of penicillin), or with an isotonic sodium chloride solution. To maintain a therapeutic concentration in the blood, penicillin is administered 4-6 times a day in the following doses:
The treatment course lasts no less than 4-7 days; in severe cases, it can be extended up to 7-10 days. The preparation solutions are administered intramuscularly, subcutaneously, and intravenously (in septic conditions). In the case of intravenous administration, the dose is half the recommended dose for intramuscular administration. |

| Contraindications | Increased individual sensitivity to the penicillin group and novocaine. Not to be administered to guinea pigs and hamsters, as well as animals with liver and kidney disorders. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Waiting period | Slaughter of animals for human consumption is permitted after 3 days, and milk consumption is allowed 2 days after the last administration. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
