Otoxolan ear drops, suspension for dogs. Composition per 1 ml of suspension: Marbofloxacin 3.0 mg Clotrimazole 10.0 mg Dexamethasone acetate 1.0 mg (equivalent to 0.9 mg dexamethasone) Excipients: Propyl gallate (E310) 1.0 mg The suspension is yellowish, opalescent, and viscous. |
| Indications | Indicated for the treatment of external otitis of bacterial and fungal origin, caused by bacteria sensitive to marbofloxacin and fungi, especially Malassezia pachydermatis, which are sensitive to clotrimazole. The product should be used based on sensitivity tests performed on the isolated bacteria. |
| Dosage and method of administration |
Auricular administration. Shake well for 30 seconds before use and gently press to fill the dropper with the product. Apply ten drops into the ear once a day, for 7 to 14 days. After 7 days of treatment, the veterinarian should evaluate the need to extend the treatment for an additional week. One drop of the product contains: 71 µg marbofloxacin, 237 µg clotrimazole, 23.7 µg dexamethasone acetate. |
| Contraindications |
It should not be used in dogs with a perforated eardrum. Do not administer in case of hypersensitivity to the active substances, to other azole antifungal products, to any fluoroquinolone, or to any of the excipients. Do not administer to bitches during pregnancy or lactation. |

| Storage conditions | Keep out of sight and reach of children. Store at a temperature below 30°C. Keep in the original packaging to protect from light. Do not use this veterinary product after the expiration date marked on the packaging as "EXP." The expiration date refers to the last day of the indicated month. When the bottle is opened for the first time, within the validity period specified in the leaflet, the date on which any remaining product in the bottle should be discarded must be marked. The discard date should be written in the space provided on the label. |
