| Indications |
Treatment of bacterial respiratory conditions associated with Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida, Haemophilus parasuis, and Streptococcus suis. Treatment of septicemia, polyarthritis, and polyserositis associated with Streptococcus suis infection. |
| Dosage and method of administration |
The dose of 5 mg ceftiofur/kg body weight, equivalent to 1 ml of Naxcel per 20 kg body weight, is administered as a single injection into the neck region by intramuscular injection. The bottle should be shaken vigorously for 30 seconds or until any visible sediment disappears. To ensure accurate dosing, the body weight must be determined precisely to avoid underdosing. It is recommended to limit the injected volume to a maximum of 4 ml. Intramuscular administration. |
| Contraindications | It should not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to ceftiofur or other beta-lactam antibiotics, or to any of the excipients. |
