| Dosage and method of administration |
Oral administration in drinking water. Pigs: Chickens: Correct Administration Recommendations: The amount of medication used daily can be calculated accurately based on the dosage used and the number and weight of the animals being treated. To calculate the concentration of the medicine in the drinking water, the following formula can be used: (mg medicine / kg body weight) × average body weight × number of animals = average daily water consumption per animal (liters) × (mg medicine / liter drinking water) This formula will help establish the exact amount of medicine to be added to the drinking water, ensuring the animals receive the correct dose. For accurate dosing: - The body weight must be determined as precisely as possible. Instructions for Use: - If the entire contents of the packaging are not used, it is recommended to use properly calibrated weighing equipment. Method for preparing the solution: - If necessary, a concentrated preliminary solution can be prepared using approximately 100 g of the medicine per liter of drinking water, followed by dilution to therapeutic concentrations. Additional Precautions: - The solubility of the medicine is influenced by pH. The product may precipitate if mixed in strongly alkaline water. Monitoring and Care: - During treatment, animals should have access exclusively to medicated water. |
