| Composition |
1 ml of the preparation contains 200 mg of sulfadimezin and 40 mg of trimethoprim. Excipients: 2-pyrilidone, benzyl alcohol, sodium thiosulfate, disodium EDTA, water for injections. |
| Indications |
Dithrim is prescribed for cattle, pigs, horses and dogs for the treatment of bacterial infections, respiratory organs, gastrointestinal tract and genitourinary system, the causative agents of which are sensitive to sulfadimezine and trimethoprim. |
| Dosage and method of administration |
For farm animals, Ditrim is used intramuscularly in the neck once a day at a dose of 1 ml per 10 kg of animal weight (for horses intravenously). In severe illness, the first 2-3 days, the drug is administered twice a day with an interval of 12 hours in the same dose. The course of treatment is 3-7 days. In connection with a possible painful reaction, cattle should not be administered to one place, pigs and horses more than 10 ml of the drug, piglets and dogs more than 5 ml. When used in recommended doses, side effects and complications, as a rule, are not observed. |
| Contraindications |
Contraindications to the use of Ditrim is hypersensitivity to sulfadimezin and trimethoprim. Ditrim should not be used in pregnant females and animals with diseases of the liver, kidneys, and hematopoietic organs. |
| Waiting period |
Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed no earlier than 28 days after the last use of Dietrim. Meat of animals forcibly killed before the expiration of the specified period can be used as feed for fur animals. Milk of dairy animals is allowed to be used for food purposes within 5 days after the last injection of the drug. Milk obtained during the treatment period and within 5 days after the last injection of the drug can be used after boiling in animal feed. |

Ditrim is released in packs of 20, 50 and 100 ml in hermetically sealed glass bottles. |
| Storage conditions | Store in a dark place, separate from food and feed, at T°C 5°C + 25°C, in places inaccessible to children. |
| Shelf life |
2 years from the date of production, from the first opening – 28 days. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging. |
