| Indications | Coliflox oral is indicated for the treatment and prevention of colibacteriosis, salmonellosis, chronic respiratory diseases, streptococcosis, necrotic enteritis, haemophilosis, mycoplasmosis, in cases of mixed infections and secondary infections to viral diseases in poultry, and in piglets for colibacteriosis and bacterial enteritis, where the causative agents are sensitive to enrofloxacin and colistin. |
| Dosage and method of administration |
Coliflox oral is administered via drinking water, in groups, to broiler chicks, laying hens, replacement stock, and turkeys, at a dose of 0.5 ml/1 liter of water for 3-5 days; in cases of salmonellosis, mixed infections, and chronic diseases, 1.0 ml/1 liter of water for 5 days. During treatment, it is important that the birds receive only medicated water. The therapeutic solution should be prepared daily in the required volume for the entire day. For piglets, Coliflox oral is administered at a dose of 0.3 ml/kg body weight, mixed with water (at a 1:1 ratio), once a day for 2-3 days. In severe cases, the dose can be increased to 0.5 ml/kg body weight. |
| Contraindications |
Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the preparation. Not to be administered to laying hens and replacement stock within 2 weeks prior to the start of egg laying due to the accumulation of enrofloxacin in eggs, pregnant and lactating females, piglets under 20 kg, animals with cartilage tissue pathologies, and those with renal, hepatic, or central nervous system disorders accompanied by seizures. Concurrent administration with chloramphenicol, macrolides, tetracyclines, theophylline, polyether ionophores, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and magnesium and calcium preparations is contraindicated. |
| Waiting period | Poultry - 11 days Swine - 14 days. Carcasses obtained before the expiration of the withdrawal period may be used for fur animal feed. |
