| Composition | Each syringe contains, as the active substance, cephapirin (as cephapirin benzathine) 500 mg and adjuvants. |
| Indications | Mitrec is indicated for the treatment of subacute and chronic endometritis in cows, which usually appear more than 14 days after parturition and in the case of subclinical forms. |
| Dosage and method of administration |
Mitrec is inserted into the lumen of the uterus in a dose of 19 g (the contents of a syringe). Treatment of acute and chronic forms begins no earlier than 14 days after calving. If necessary, a booster is given after 7-14 days, in the same dose. Prior administration of prostaglandins F2 a (3-4 days before) increases effectiveness and excludes booster. In the treatment of subclinical forms of endometritis, the preparation is administered over 6-24 hours after insemination. Before administration, the external genital organs and the base of the tail are sanitized. If necessary, the uterus is freed from the exudate. Attach the syringe to the catheter, insert the gloved hand through the rectum to secure the cervix, then insert the catheter through the cervix with gentle, rocking movements and inject the entire contents of the Mitrec syringe into the uterine lumen. |
