| Dosage and method of administration |
For oral administration in feed, the single dose is 5 ml per animal per day, administered in feed for 18 consecutive days. Particular attention will be paid to the daily administration of the dose and duration of treatment. For animals in a batch, care must be taken to ensure that the recommended dose is given to each individual animal. The product is delivered in two container sizes: - 540 mL aluminum container: The closure system includes an extended obturator with a ring, inserted into the neck of the bottle, and a 45 mm screw cap. The filling volume is 540 mL, which corresponds to the treatment of 6 sows or 36 sows, at the recommended dose of 5 mL (20 mg dose of altrenogest) for 18, respectively 3 consecutive days. - 1 L aluminum container: The closure system contains an extended stopper with a plastic ring inserted at the neck of the bottle and a 45 mm screw cap. The fill volume is at least 1000 mL, which corresponds to the treatment of 11 sows at the recommended therapeutic dose of 5 mL per animal (20 mg altrenogest dose) for 18 consecutive days. Administration of Regumate Porcine packaged in a 1 L container (non-pressurized): - Remove the cap and plug. |
| Contraindications | A contraindication for the use of the drug is individual hypersensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug. |
| Waiting period | Animals will not be sacrificed for human consumption during treatment. Pigs will be slaughtered for human consumption 9 days after the last treatment. |
