| Composition | Dirofen-suspension 20 and 60 (Dirofen suspension 20 e 60) is a pale yellow to deep yellow peroral suspension, which breaks down during storage. It is produced in two different dosages: Dirofen-suspension 20 (for ferrets, puppies, ferrets and decorative rodents) and Dirofen-suspension 60 (for adult dogs and cats), which in 1 ml contains the following active substances: pyrantel pamoate- 15 and 45 mg, cpraziguantel-5 and 15 mg and adjuvants. |
| Indications | Dirofen-suspension 20 is indicated for ferrets and puppies from the age of 3 weeks, ferrets and rodents from the age of 3-4 weeks. Dirofen-suspension 60 - for adult dogs and cats, with preventive and curative purpose in the case of nematodes (toxocarosis, toxoscaridosis, uncinariasis, hookworm), cestodes (tenidosis, dipylidiosis, echinococcosis, diphyllobothriasis, mesocestoidosis) and mixed invasions. |
| Dosage and method of administration | Dirofen-suspension 20 and 60 is administered individually, perorally, in the morning, with a small amount of food or directly on the base of the tongue with the help of a syringe-doser in the following dose: - adult dogs and cats – 1 ml Dirofen-suspension 60 per 3 kg of body weight; - puppies, ferrets, ferrets and decorative rodents - 1 ml Dirofen-suspension 20 per 1 kg of body weight. In the case of severe infestations, deworming is repeated after 10 days. For prophylactic purposes, deworming is carried out 1 time in 3 months and before each vaccination. |
| Contraindications | Individual intolerance of the animal to the components of the preparation (including in the anamnesis). Do not administer to cachexic animals, sick with infectious diseases and animals in the convalescent period, women in the first half of pregnancy, puppies, ferrets, ferrets and rodents under 3 weeks of age. |
