Vaccine Porcilis PCV
| Species | Swine. |
|---|---|
| Composition |
Each 2 ml dose contains: * The number of antigenic units determined "in vitro" the average antibody titer (Ab) determined in a specific activity test. |
| Indications |
For the active immunization of pigs in order to reduce the viral load in the blood and lymphoid tissues, reducing the weight loss associated with PCV2 infection observed during the fattening period. Installation of immunity: 2 weeks. |
| Dosage and method of administration |
Vaccination: If the existence of an average level of maternally derived antibodies against PCV2 is assumed, then a single vaccination of pigs (2 ml), starting at 3 weeks of age, is recommended. When the existence of a high level of maternally derived antibodies against PCV2 is assumed, a schedule of two vaccinations is recommended: the first administration (2 ml) can be carried out from the age of 3-5 days, and the second administration (2 ml) 2- 3 weeks later. High levels of ADM can be anticipated in sows/scrophytes that have been exposed to high levels of PCV2 virus. In such cases serological testing for PCV2 is recommended, using appropriate diagnostic tests, to select the most appropriate vaccination schedule. In case of uncertainty, the schedule for two administrations will be used. |
