| Dosage and method of administration |
The contents of a vial of reconstituted vaccine will be injected subcutaneously. The vaccine is reconstituted with the contents of one vial (1.0 ml) of Nobivac Lepto, one vial (1.0 ml) of Nobivac Rabies, one vial (1.0 ml) of Nobivac RL, or one vial (1.0 ml) of Nobivac Diluant. The preferred age for vaccination against hepatitis (CAV1), CAV2 infection and parainfluenza virus infection is 8-12 weeks because it is the minimum age at which maternally derived residual antibodies have reached levels that can no longer interfere with the immune response. The optimal age for vaccination of puppies against distemper and parvovirus is the minimum age at which maternally derived residual antibodies have reached levels that can no longer interfere with the immune response. In most cases, this age is between 6 and 9 weeks, but to ensure the protection of puppies with very high levels of maternal antibodies, it is recommended that the final vaccination against these 2 diseases takes place around 12 weeks of age. The following recommendations are included considering that immunization with Nobivac DHPPi is part of a complex vaccination program. a. Program for puppies possibly exposed to distemper/parvo infection before the age of 8-9 weeks; and ADM status is unknown: b. Program for puppies whose vaccination starts at the age of 8-9 weeks: c. Program for puppies whose vaccination does not start before the age of 12 weeks: Reminder: Only healthy dogs will be vaccinated and for this an appropriate clinical examination will be made before administration. After vaccination, contact with potential sources of infection will be avoided for a period of 14 days. |
