Indications

Treatment and prevention of flea infestations produced by Ctenocephalides spp. for a period of one month after a single administration. This indication is the result of adulticidal properties. larvocides and ovoids of this veterinary medicinal product. The veterinary medicinal product has an ovicidal action for a period of 3 weeks after administration. Due to the reduction in the flea population, monthly treatment of pregnant and lactating animals will also help prevent flea infestation in puppies up to seven weeks of age. The veterinary medicinal product can be used as part of the treatment strategy for allergic dermatitis to fleas and, as a result of the ovicidal and larvocide action, it can be an aid in the control of flea infestation present in the environment in the areas where the animal has access.

Treatment of ringworm (Otodectes cynotis).

Treatment of infestation with hematophagous lice (Trichodectes caniş).

Treatment of sarcoptic mange (Sarcoptes scabiei).

Treatment of adult forms of intestinal roundworms (Toxocara poodle).

Prevention of heartworm disease

produced by Dirofilaria immitis, through monthly administrations.

Dosage and method of administration

It will be applied topically, on the surface of the skin, at the base of the neck, in front of the space between the shoulder blades.

The product should be administered by a single application of a single dosage unit that delivers a minimum of 6 mg/kg selamectin.
When concurrent infestations or infections are present on the same animal to be treated with this veterinary medicinal product, only a single application of a recommended dose of 6 mg/kg should be administered once. The specific duration of the individual parasite treatment period is shown below.

Administration will be done in accordance with the following table:

How to apply:

Remove the pipette from the package. Hold the pipette upright, twist and pull off the cap.

Turn the cap over and place the other end of the cap back on the pipette. Push and twist the cap to puncture the seal, then remove the cap from the pipette.

Undo the dc fur at the base of the neck by the shoulder blades, until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and press the pipette several times to completely empty the contents directly onto the skin in one place. Avoid contact between the product and your fingers.

Do not apply the product if the animal's fur is wet. However, shampooing or soaping the animal 2 or more hours after treatment will not reduce the effectiveness of the veterinary medicinal product.

Treatment and prevention of flea infestations

As a result of the administration of the veterinary medicinal product, the adult fleas on the animal are killed, viable eggs are no longer produced and the larvae (found only in the environment) are also killed.

This stops flea reproduction, interrupts the flea life cycle, and can help control existing flea infestations in the environment in areas where the animal has access.

For the prevention of flea infestation, the veterinary medicinal product should be administered at monthly intervals during the flea season, starting one month before the fleas become active.

Due to the reduction in the flea population, monthly treatment of pregnant and lactating animals will also help prevent flea infestation in puppies up to seven weeks of age.

For use as part of a flea allergy dermatitis treatment strategy, the veterinary medicinal product should be administered at monthly intervals.

Prevention of heartworm disease

The need for treatment must be established by the veterinarian who prescribes the product and must be based on the local epidemiological situation (see section 4.4). For the prevention of heart disease, the veterinary medicinal product should be administered within one month of the first exposure to mosquitoes and monthly thereafter until one month after the last exposure to mosquitoes. If a dose is missed and the monthly interval between doses is exceeded, immediate administration of the veterinary medicinal product and resumption of monthly administration will minimize the risk of developing adult heartworms. The need to extend the treatment must be determined by the prescribing veterinarian. When substituting another veterinary medicinal product against heart disease. In a heart disease prevention program, the first dose of the veterinary medicinal product must be administered within one month of the last dose of the previous product.
