Composition Maxidin 0.4 contains a 0.4% aqueous solution of germanium bis(pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylate) (abbreviated BPDH), as well as auxiliary components: monoethanolamine and sodium chloride. The drug in appearance is a transparent, colorless, sterile solution for injection.
Indications Prescribed to dogs and cats for the correction of immunodeficiency states due to viral infections, including coronavirus enteritis, panleukopenia, canine distemper, calicivirosis, and infectious rhinotracheitis. Complex treatment of immune-mediated parasitic diseases (helminthiases and demodicosis). For the treatment of skin diseases and baldness (hair loss).
Dosage and method of administration Maxidin 0.4 is administered to animals subcutaneously or intramuscularly, observing the rules of asepsis and antisepsis, 2 times a day for 2 to 5 days at a dose of 0.5 ml of the drug per 5 kg of animal weight. Maxidin 0.4 can be used simultaneously with other medications and feed additives.
Contraindications Increased individual sensitivity to the components of Maksidin 0.4.
