| Dosage and method of administration |
In the case of sarcoptosis, cheiletiosis or demodicosis in dogs, notohedrosis in cats - Amit forte is applied to the affected surfaces freed from crusts, evenly over the entire affected surface and 1 cm of bordering tissue (from the periphery to the center). To prevent licking, animals are put on a protective muzzle or collar, which is removed 15-20 minutes after application. The treatments are carried out 2-5 times, with an interval of 5-7 days, until the animal recovers, which is confirmed by two negative results of the laboratory acarological examination. Animals with large affected areas are processed in two stages with an interval of 1 day, applying first on one side of the body, then on the other. In the case of acarosis associated with bacterial or mycotic infections, complex treatment with immunomodulators and antibacterials is recommended according to the instructions. Treatment of otodectosis (ear ringworm) in dogs and cats involves cleaning the auditory canal of crusts and dripping 3-4 drops (depending on the size of the animal) of the preparation in each ear. For a more uniform processing, the ear flap and its base are gently massaged. To avoid splashes (when shaking the animal's head), it is desirable to fix the head for a few minutes, the drops on the animal's fur are thoroughly wiped. Administration is carried out 2 times with an interval of 7-10 days. In the case of otitis, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory preparations are indicated. The treatment course is repeated until the animal recovers, which is confirmed by two negative results of the laboratory acarological examination. |
| Contraindications | Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the preparation. Do not administer to animals suffering from infectious diseases, exhausted and covalescent, pregnant and lactating females, ferrets and puppies under 8 weeks of age, do not use simultaneously with other acaricides or in productive animals. Auricular application (in otodectosis) of the medicine is contraindicated in case of perforated eardrum. |
