| Indications | Alvet Suspension is indicated for curative and preventive purposes in cattle, sheep and horses for sport, leisure or tourism in the case of trematodes, nematodes and cestodes. |
| Dosage and method of administration |
The preparation is administered only once, individually, orally. Special diet or the administration of laxatives beforehand is not necessary. Shake the preparation well before administration. Before mass administrations, each series of preparation is tested on a not too large group of animals (10-15 heads), which are followed for 3 days. In the absence of complications, the given preparation is administered to all livestock. Cattle are administered Alvet - suspension in case of moniesiosis, pulmonary and gastrointestinal nematodes in a dose of 7.5 ml/100 kg body weight (7.5 mg/kg albendazole), in case of chronic fasciolosis - in a dose of 10, 0 ml/100 kg body weight (10.0 mg/kg albendazole). For sports, leisure or tourism horses, in case of parascaridosis, strongylatosis, alfortiosis, delafondiosis, anoplocephalosis and ciatostomosis, 10% suspension, 7.5 ml/100 kg body weight (7.5 mg/kg albendazole) is indicated. Sheep - in case of moniesiosis, pulmonary and gastrointestinal nematodes in a dose of 0.5 ml/10 kg body weight (albendazole 5.0 mg/kg), in chronic fasciolosis - 0.75 ml/10 kg body weight (albendazole 7.5 mg/kg). |
| Contraindications |
The increased individual sensitivity of the animal to albendazole can serve to administer the medicinal preparation. It is prohibited to administer the preparation in case of acute fasciolosis, during the breeding season, cachexic animals and sick with infectious diseases. |
| Waiting period |
Beef, sheep meat - 20 days, horse meat - not for human consumption. The carcasses of animals obtained before the deadline can be used in the feed of fur animals. Milk is prohibited for human consumption for 7 days after deworming. Milk obtained before the expiry of the deadline can be used in animal feed after thermal processing. |
| Release form | Alvet – suspension is packaged in 100, 200, 250, 400, 500 and 1000 ml in polymer bottles or dark glass bottles of appropriate volume, closed with plastic screw caps; of 1.5, 2.0, 5.0 and 10.0 in polyethylene canisters with screw caps. |
| Storage conditions | Store in a dark place, separate from food and feed, at T°C 0°C + 25°C, in places inaccessible to children. |
| Shelf life |
3 years. After opening – no more than 60 days. It is forbidden to administer Alvet-suspension with an expired term. |
