    Excipients: Formaldehyde 0.8 mg.
    Homogeneous white suspension.
Indications
  • For the passive protection of piglets through colostrum (“first milk”) after active immunization of sows and gilts to reduce clinical signs and lesions caused by progressive and non-progressive atrophic rhinitis, as well as to reduce weight loss associated with Bordetella bronchiseptica infections and Pasteurella multocida during the fattening period.
  • Control infection studies have shown that passive immunity lasts until the piglets reach the age of 6 weeks, while in clinical field studies, the beneficial effects of vaccination (reduction in the number of nasal lesions and weight loss) are observed up to sacrifice
Dosage and method of administration
  • Intramuscular use.
Administer one dose (2 ml) by intramuscular injection into the muscles of the neck and according to the following schedule:
Basic vaccination: sows and gilts not previously vaccinated with the product should be given two injections at an interval of 3-4 weeks. The first injection should be administered 6-8 weeks before the expected calving date.
Revaccination: a single injection should be given 3-4 weeks before each subsequent calving.
Before administration, the vaccine must reach room temperature (15-25˚C).
    Shake well before use.
Contraindications
  • Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substances, adjuvants or any of the excipients.
Warning
  • Special precautions to be taken by the person administering the veterinary medicinal product to animals.
In case of accidental self-injection, only a minor reaction at the injection site may occur.
Gestation: Can be used during pregnancy.
Interactions with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction:
There is no information available on the safety and efficacy of the vaccine when used with another veterinary medicinal product. The decision to use this vaccine before or after any other veterinary medicinal product will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
    Overdose (symptoms, emergency procedures, antidote):
No adverse reactions are expected, other than those already mentioned in point 6, except for an increase in rectal temperature up to 2ºC. This rise in rectal temperature subsides spontaneously within 24 hours without treatment. At necropsy, in 10% of the animals, discoloration of the muscle fibers can be observed at the inoculation site (width of 0.5 cm x length of 2 cm). This discoloration is attributed to aluminum hydroxide and can be seen up to seven weeks after the injection of a double dose of vaccine.
Incompatibilities: Do not mix with any other veterinary medicinal product.
