| Dosage and method of administration | Bee families are treated in spring (after the first inspection of bee families) and in the summer-autumn period (after pumping out honey) by placing plates of the drug in the hives at the rate of 2 plates per 10 – 12 nesting frames. For small families (up to 6 frames), layering and nuclei, 1 plate is enough, which is placed in the center of the nest. To fix the plate, you can use a paper clip through which a hairpin is inserted (a wooden twig, a piece of thin wire) and hang the plate vertically exactly in the center of the street (in its middle part) between the two frames of the bee’s nest. In a weak family, a plate is hung between 3 and 4 honeycombs, in a strong one is a plate between 3 and 4, a second plate is between 7 and 8 frames. The plates are left in families for a period of 3 to 30 days, depending on the number of printed brood. |
