Compozition Floron® 2% powder in 100 g contains as active ingredient 2 g of florfenicol, and as auxiliary substances – lactose monohydrate and silica anhydrous.
Indications The drug has a bacteriostatic effect on sensitive microorganisms, in the protoplasm of the bacterial cell binds to the ribosomal subunit 70S, which blocks the enzyme peptidyl-transferase, which leads to inhibition of protein synthesis in sensitive bacteria at the level of the ribosomes.

Florfenicol is active against bacteria that produce acetyltransferase and are resistant to chloramphenicol. Florfenicol has a broad spectrum of antibacterial action, including against Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida, Pasteurella haemolitica, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Haemophilus parasuis, Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Mycoplasma hyorhinis, Salmonella choleraesuis, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus suis and Escherishia coli.

Dosage and method of administration Floron® 2% sweetened oral powder in mixtures with cormorant in a batch of 1.5-2 mg florfenicol per 1 kg of live animal fat (this is equivalent to 1.5-2 kg of the tonic corn medicine) over a 7 day run.
Contraindications Contraindication to the use of Floron ® 2% powder is an increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug.
