Composition |
- One dose (2 ml) contains GnRH conjugated with diphtheria toxoid – 0.4 mg as an active substance, as excipients: DEAE-dextran, chlorocresol or thiomersal, urea and water for injection. In appearance, the drug is a clear, colorless solution.

Indications |
- Immunological castration of boars
– Maximum feeding efficiency (increase in weight gain and decrease in feed conversion)
– Reduced losses associated with surgical castration (inguinal hernia, streptococcal infections, etc.)
– Elimination of losses associated with the culling of cryptorchids
– Improving carcass quality indicators (uniformity, category and percentage of lean meat yield).

Dosage and method of administration |
- Improvac is used for immunological castration of boars in order to prevent an unpleasant smell of meat and suppress aggressive behavior.
It is forbidden to use the drug to boars-producers until the end of their use in reproduction. Improvac is administered to animals at a dose of 2 ml subcutaneously, behind the ear. The drug is used at intervals of at least 4 weeks, starting from 2 months of age. The second injection of the drug is carried out 4–6 weeks before slaughter. Symptoms of overdose in animals have not been identified. The peculiarities of the action of the drug during its first use or when it is canceled have not been established. The drug is not intended for use in sows and gilts. Violation of the dosing regimen of the drug should be avoided. In rare cases, some animals may develop a slight edema at the injection site, which gradually disappears. In the event of allergic reactions, the use of the drug is stopped and antihistamines, cholinomimetics, corticosteroids or other symptomatic treatment are prescribed. There is no information about the features of the interaction of Improvac with other drugs.

- The drug is packaged in 100 ml polymer bottles of the appropriate capacity, sealed with rubber stoppers, reinforced with aluminum caps. Vials are packed in 10 pieces in cardboard boxes complete with instructions for use.
