Composition | 1 strip contains the active substance: fluvalinate – 40 mg. Pharmacological properties Fluvalinate is an insectoacaricide with a contact acaricidal effect against varroa varroa (Varroa jacobsoni) that is low toxic for bees, queens and bee brood. Fluvalinate is a highly effective selective substance that acts as a poison on the tick’s nervous system, leading to rapid death. |
Indications | For the treatment of bees (bee colon), patients with varroa. The Fluvalisan preparation strips are placed in the inter-frame space in the hive in the central zone of the bee nest so that the bees can move along it from both sides of the frames and leave for 7 to 10 days, after which they are removed and disposed of. To obtain the best therapeutic effect, bee-families are treated in a no-fertilizing period (in the autumn or spring) or after the removal of brood from them into incubator families. In order to avoid contamination of marketable honey, the processing is completed 30-45 days before the start of the main honey collection. |
Dosage and method of administration | For the treatment of strong bee colonies, the preparation is applied at the rate of 1 (one) strip per 10 frames. For weak families only 1/2 strips are used. |
Contraindications | Hypersensitivity to fluvalinate. |
