Vaccine Vacderm

Immunization of animals that are in the incubation period of the disease with dermatophytosis provokes an accelerated appearance of clinical signs of mycosis in the localization of pathogens (single or multiple mycotic foci appear on the skin of the animal).

Product Description

Species Dogs, cats, rabbits.
Composition
  • Vacderm vaccine is made from fungal cells of industrial strains of dermatophyte cultures Microsporum canis, Microsporum gypseum and Trichophyton mentagrophytes grown on selective nutrient media, followed by inactivation with formalin.
Indications
  • Vacderm is a vaccine for the treatment and prevention of dermatophytosis in dogs, cats, fur animals and rabbits.
Dosage and method of administration
  • The vaccine is administered intramuscularly twice. Injections are carried out in different limbs in the thigh area with an interval of 10-14 days in the following doses:
    – cats aged 1-3 months, 0.5 cm3;
    – cats older than 3 months, 1.0 cm3;
    – for dogs from 2 months of age weighing less than 5 kg, 0.5 cm3;
    – dogs from 2 months of age weighing more than 5 kg, 1.0 cm3;
    – rabbits of 50 days of age, 0.5 cm3;
    – rabbits older than 50 days of age, 1.0 cm3;
    – fur animals from 30 to 50 days of age, 0.5 cm3;
    – for fur-bearing animals over 50 days of age, 1.0 cm3.
    Subsequent prophylactic revaccinations of animals are carried out annually, twice with an interval of 10-14 days, in the doses indicated above.
    10 days before vaccination, it is necessary to deworm the animal. When carrying out vaccination, the general rules of asepsis and antisepsis are observed. Needles and syringes are sterilized by boiling, or sterile disposable syringes are used, for each animal – a separate needle. The injection site is treated with 70% alcohol. Before use, the ampoule or vial with the vaccine is heated to body temperature and shaken to ensure a uniform suspension.
    Immunization of animals that are in the incubation period of the disease with dermatophytosis can provoke an accelerated manifestation of clinical signs at the sites of the pathogen localization (single or multiple mycotic foci appear on the skin of the animal). In this case, after 10-14 days, it is necessary to repeat the double administration of the vaccine in the same doses and with the same interval, as indicated above.
Contraindications
  • Vaccination is not subject to animals with elevated body temperature, in the second half of pregnancy, as well as patients with invasive, infectious and non-infectious diseases. Weakened and sick animals are preliminarily treated for an existing disease, and after recovery, they are immunized against dermatophytosis.
Warning
  • With caution, animals are vaccinated in the first half of pregnancy and during lactation in case of illness or the threat of infection. Vaccination of offspring should be carried out in accordance with paragraph 13 of this instruction.
