Vaccine Porcilis Begonia

For active pig immunization against Aujeszky's disease (Pseudorabia), to prevent mortality and clinical signs, and to reduce the replication of the Aujeszky's disease virus.

Product Description

Species Pigs.
Composition
  • One dose of the dissolved vaccine (2 ml or 0.2 ml) contains the active substance – at least 103.5 TCD50 of the Aujeszky’s disease virus (Begonia strain) and excipients: glycine, sorbitol, monosodium glutamate, amine, disodium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate.
Indications
  • The vaccine is intended for the prevention of Aujeszky’s disease in fattening and breeding pigs.
Dosage and method of administration
  • The vaccine is allowed to be used in sows during gestation and lactation.
  • Before use, the vaccine is dissolved at the rate of 100 doses of the vaccine per 200 ml of diluent for live lyophilized vaccines against swine diseases Dilyuvak Forte. To do this, 10 ml of the solvent is added to the vial with the vaccine using a sterile syringe and shaken thoroughly until a homogeneous suspension is formed. The resulting mixture is then transferred to a vial and mixed with the remaining solvent. After dissolution and during the use of the vaccine, the vials are shaken thoroughly. The prepared vaccine is injected intramuscularly into the parotid region in a volume of 2 ml.
  • Vaccinations are subject to piglets (breeding and fattening) from 14 weeks of age. In prosperous farms, there is no need for revaccination of fattening piglets.
  • In situations where there is a risk of wounded infection of piglets, and young animals with specific maternal antibodies, vaccinate twice: the primary vaccine is given at an earlier age (from 10 weeks) with a booster at 14 weeks or older, but not earlier than two weeks after primary immunization.
In disadvantaged farms, breeding pigs are vaccinated 3 times a year with a 4-month interval.
Contraindications
  • It is forbidden to use the Porcilis Begonia vaccine in conjunction with other immunobiological preparations.
Do not vaccinate clinically ill and/or debilitated animals.
Warning
  • Slaughter products obtained from vaccinated animals are used without restriction, regardless of the timing of vaccination.
Release form
  • The vaccine is packaged in 10, 50 or 100 doses (1 ml each – the volume before lyophilization) in glass vials of appropriate capacity, hermetically sealed with rubber stoppers reinforced with aluminum caps.
